About the Project

Height safety and fall prevention VR simulator for HTC Vive Pro, ported to Meta Quest, with a WebGL build for desktop testing (password: 987555).

Key Contributions & Engineering Responsibilities

  • Ported core VR logic and height scenarios to WebGL.
  • Adapted controls and camera behavior for mouse/keyboard.
  • Implemented password-gated demo flow for internal use.
  • Helped ensure performance and usability in browser.

Engineering Impact & Measurable Outcomes

  • Work at height safety & fall simulation ported from HTC Vive Pro to Meta Quest
  • Cross-platform VR deployment with WebGL desktop testing mode
  • Harness & anchor point inspection training
Genre & gameplay: PHVA - Altura is an industrial safety VR training module focused on work at heights and fall prevention. Trainees practice harness and anchor point inspections and risk procedures. Originally developed for HTC Vive Pro, it was later ported to Meta Quest headsets, and a WebGL desktop build was created for internal evaluation and remote testing. My contributions: Developed the VR height simulator on HTC Vive Pro, led the port to Meta Quest standalone headsets, and ported core logic and scenarios into a WebGL build with desktop camera/mouse controls. Set up the password-protected flow (987555) for internal demos and tests. Helped ensure that performance and usability remained acceptable across all target platforms.
