About the Project
Mobile hypercasual maze game where you tilt your phone to guide a lazy sloth through hazards and reach his girlfriend.
Key Contributions
- Implemented tilt-based controls using gyroscope/accelerometer with filtering.
- Designed and tuned maze layouts balanced for motion control.
- Integrated UI, feedback, and art assets in a multidisciplinary team.
- Optimized physics and frame pacing for Android devices.
Genre & gameplay: Lazy Lovers is a hypercasual mobile maze game where players tilt their phone using gyroscope and accelerometer to guide a sloth through winding paths, avoid hazards, and reach the goal. Levels are short, simple, and focused on motion-based navigation rather than platforming or precision jumps. My contributions: Implemented smooth tilt-based controls using gyroscope and accelerometer with filtering, dead zones, and physics mapping to ensure comfortable device motion. Designed and tuned maze layouts balanced around motion control readability. Integrated UI, feedback, and art assets collaborating with a small multidisciplinary team. Optimized physics behavior and frame pacing across a wide range of Android devices to improve responsiveness and reduce jitter during motion-controlled gameplay.
